HELPING HANDS CHOICE FOOD PANTRY
HAS CLOSED
Helping Hands Food Pantry served the hungry from 2006-2024. Our Food Pantry began serving Christmas Eve dinner and food baskets being passed out to families in need in our community.
In 2008, the program grew into a lunch held one week each month on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Families in need could have lunch and received a bag of food. 125 families were served each month. The need continued to grow and the pantry opened every Wednesday. This process allowed families to make choices for their families by choosing in food groups items based on the number of people in the household.
To date, the Food Pantry has grown to serve 11,500 families, giving away 413,500 pounds of food.
Our Food Pantry received TEFAP USDA donated food.
Thank you to all our volunteers and sponsors for your hard work and support over the years. Due to Hurricane Milton the pantry has closed.
THANK YOU...
FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTIONS
Pantry financial contributions enable the pantry to buy food and meet its daily needs. A $25 donation will allow us to purchase 140 pounds of food from Feeding Tampa Bay.
One of our biggest needs is transporting large donations. The need continues to grow and funds are needed to purchase a truck to pick up donations from businesses that help by donating food to feed those in need in our community.
100% of your donations go to help feed those in need, The Wesley Chapel community continues to support their neighbors in need. Your help is critical. Please help feed our neighbors in need.
