HELPING HANDS FOOD PANTRY EXPERIENCED SEVERE DAMAGE FROM HURRICANE MILTON. WITH POWER OUT AND THE INABILITY TO USE OUR MAIN BUILDING, WE ARE CLOSING DOWN
Helping Hands Food Pantry of Wesley Chapel
29617 State Road 54
Wesley Chapel, FL 33543
It is with a heavy heart and much regret that we have decided to cease the operations of the Helping Hands Food Pantry of Wesley Chapel effective immediately. Our church sustained immense damage during Hurricane Milton, and we will be unable to continue operations. We will do our best to provide a list of other resources for food assistance. We are saddened to be ending our service to the community. Since our inception 15 years ago, we have distributed over Ten Million pounds of donated and purchased food to those in need. Our volunteers have logged in excess of 300,000 hours since the pantry operations run 5 days per week.
We are extremely grateful for all the local businesses that have supported us throughout our many years of operations with their generous donations of groceries and time involved. Without our regular and guest volunteers, it would not have been possible to sort, prep, package and distribute the amount of food that we have. When we helped our 1st family with food assistance, we had no idea that it would have grown to assisting 744 more families that we had at our last distribution. Our volunteers had always hoped that the number of families would decrease over time, and we would be closing because we were no longer needed. May God Bless you all for everything you have done for us over the years!
