Gus served in The Army National Guard before he moved to Cary, IL. He worked the majority of his career for Northern Illinois Gas. Throughout his career he also held several positions in the community: McHenry County Municipal Association Secretary/Treasurer, Ahepa President, Jaycee member, Chamber of Commerce member, small business owner, school board member, village trustee and most notably as the Mayor of Cary, IL from 1975-1983. He also ran for State Senator for the State of Illinois in 1980.

Hobbies were Baseball and photography.

Gus is Survived by his son Thomas (Tom).

He was preceded in death by his son James (Jim) and his wife Sharon.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to either the American Heart association or the American Diabetes association.
